Who cafe x Mx. COOL
who cafe roasting is located in Yilan, in the northeastern part of Taiwan.
As you wander through the alleys, there’s no need to search hard for the shop—you’ll quickly spot the iconic mustache sign of the owner, Tiger. Right after that, your eyes will be drawn to the Christmas tree on the wall, the array of drippers, and the vintage lever machine inside the shop, all reflecting Tiger‘s dedication to craftsmanship.
Before founding Who cafe, the owner, Kiwe Lin, had dabbled in various industries, including car sales, real estate, and running a tutoring center. However, during his time living in different places, he always long for the unique warmth and hospitality of Yilan, his hometwon. This ultimately brought him back to his hometown to open a café.
Over the years, Who cafe has grown into more than just a café. Kiwe Lin himself has become a columnist and coffee instructor, sharing his knowledge and helping to shape Taiwan’s specialty coffee culture. These days, Who cafe is more than a place to grab a cup of coffee, it’s where Yilan’s coffee lovers come together.
As users of the latest upgraded Aries grinder, Kiwe Lin and the store manager, Iannis , have given high praise for its many improvements. The upgraded Aries effortlessly handles espresso grinding for beans of various origins and roast levels. Its quick-cleaning feature makes switching beans more convenient while preserving the purity of the flavors.
During the cold winter months, the RDT spray bottle effectively eliminates static issues, enhancing the overall brewing experience. The redesigned grounds cup is also more compatible with espresso portafilters, and the improved motor to prevent bean jams make the grinding process simpler and more reliable.
Kiwe Lin shared that all the single origin espressos at the shop are now prepared using Aries, delivering consistently stable and delicious flavor profiles.
