Exclusive 83mm Conical burr
This is a 83mm Titanium-coating stainless steel conical burr exclusive designed for Aries. A larger burr provides better grinding efficiency, which means that with the same amount of coffee beans, it takes less time to grind. This results in less spin and a faster dose of coffee, which also leads to a cooler grinding temperature. Geometry-wise, unlike other 83mm burrs on the market, Aries’ burr set has more spokes and a sharper edge that cuts the bean with a slower feed rate, resulting in fewer fines and a cleaner cup.
Adjustable RPM
Aries offers five rotating speeds to choose from, ranging from 90 to 150 RPMs, resulting in different flavor profiles and extractions. Depending on one’s personal preference and the varieties of coffee beans, RPMs offer different experiences with the same coffee beans and provide an easier approach to dialing in a new coffee without solely changing the grind size or dose weight.

Aries has a slow-feed disk that reduces the rate at which beans fall into the grinder chamber through a smaller opening. Auto-stop mechanism
Aries auto-stops when grinding is completed. As quiet as Aries is, operating at around 70 dB, its automatic stop mechanism ensures that, even in noisy environments, you don’t have to worry about forgetting to turn it off.

We believe that conical burrs haven’t received enough attention, let alone compared to flat burrs, we appreciate the lingering sweetness, the thick body, the balanced flavor, and the creamy texture that conical burrs deliver. These are the reasons why we ultimately chose conical burrs.
Can the burr set be replaced with other 83mm burr available on the market?
Due to the sophisticated design and mechanism of the Aries, it is not recommended to replace the 83mm burr with any other burr set, as this may affect both the warranty and performance. Not all 83mm conical burrs are compatible with the Aries. If your burr becomes dull or damaged and you wish to replace it, please contact your nearest authorized distributor or reach out to us to arrange a return for replacement.
Is it a Mazzer burr?
No, it isn’t. The burr set for Aries is selected and produced in collaboration with a burr manufacturer after trying out various burr sets. More detailed information is unable to be disclosed due to an existing NDA.

In such cases, manual stopping can be employed. In some rare and severe instances where it doesn’t auto-stop, the grinder is still programmed to stop automatically after 60 seconds.
Will Aries have any issues with jamming? How to deal with jamming?
It is uncommon for Aries to jam. With its latest motor, Aries can handle most coffee beans with ease. To be more specific, the roasting level of the test beans used during factory inspections is approximately Agtron 100 when ground to the fineness specified by the SCA’s regulated cupping coffee ground size (where 70-75 percent of the grinds pass through a 20-mesh sieve). However, if jamming does occur, simply press the start knob to reboot the grinder, and it will complete the grinding process.
